The testing intelligence™ Framework describes the test leader processes. The framework defines the structured flow of collaborative activities undertaken by a test leader or in which a test leader is involved.
To allow for easy orientation, the processes are expressed in relation to a standard application or system lifecycle starting from project initiation to final decommissioning of the system. Hence it is covering test leader activities in project as well as in maintenance mode.
All processes are described from the test leaders' point of view and as such they are executed in the context of a knowledge area of the test leader.

The framework is a two-layered process model containing:
- high-level processes to maintain an overview
- a low-level process model with executable activities, identifying the deliverables, tools and test strategy patterns to use.
